Sponged Shimmery Stripes Birthday Card Video

This Sponged Shimmery Stripes Birthday Card is for my Son-in-law’s Birthday. I love how this paper Shimmers even under the ink. I hope he likes it!

This Video is 7 minutes long.

SUPPLIES:

Bundle: Balloon Festoon Stamps + Dies
Ink Pad: Blueberry Bushel ink pad
Cardstock: Blueberry Bushel cardstock
Basic White cardstock
Shimmery Stripes 12x 12 Specialty Paper
Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine: Balloon Festoon Dies (part of Bundle above)
Embellishments: Hues of Blue Flowers
Tool: Sponge Dauber
Adhesives: Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Stampin’ Dimensionals

Sponged Shimmery Stripes Birthday Card

INSTRUCTIONS:

1-Cut Your Papers:

~Blueberry Bushel Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
~Shimmery Stripes Paper: 4″ x 5-1/4″. Make sure the Stripes are going the way you want.
~Basic White Word Strip: 3/4″ x 3-1/4″
~Basic White Card Insert: 4″ x 5-1/4″

2-Blue Stripes Technique:

~Ink up your Sponge Dauber with Blueberry Bushel ink.
~Place the Sponge Dauber at one corner.
~Press down and lightly slide your Dauber the length of the paper. You can see it highlight the Stripes.
~Stop at the edge of the paper to get the little half circle.
~Ink up and repeat for your other Stripes. Mine are about 1/2″ apart or Sponge Dauber width apart.

3-Finish Your Card:

~Die cut your Balloon from Blueberry Bushel cardstock. I sponges around the edges and in a little on one side.
~Stamp your Words with Blueberry Bushel ink on your Basic White Word Strip. Sponge around the edges.
~Glue your Striped Paper to your Card Base.
~Attach your Balloon and Word Strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
~Add some Embellishments.
~Glue your Card Insert inside of your Card.

Your Sponged Shimmery Stripes Birthday Card is finished.
