Coloring Your Embossed Images Video

This Coloring Your Embossed Images Video shows you how to color Images made with an Embossing Folder. Use a variety of simple coloring tools.

COLORING TOOLS USED IN VIDEO:

Cardstock: Basic White cardstock
Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine: Glass & Garden Embossing Folders
Ink Pads: Blueberry Bushel ink pad
Granny Apple Green ink pad
Melon Mambo ink pad
Stampin’ Write Marker: Azure Afternoon Marker: Brights Markers
Stampin’ Blends: Flirty Flamingo Blends
Old Olive Blends
Other Tools: Sponge Daubers
~Q-Tip from your bathroom
~1/4″ Paintbrush with stiff bristles

SPONGE DAUBER TECHNIQUE:

~Ink up your Sponge Dauber with the the ink color of your choice. Reink as needed.
~Use the Dauber flat to cover larger areas.
~Hold your Dauber at an angle to cover smaller areas. This requires some practice. Sometimes the area is just too small for a Sponge Dauber.

Q-TIP TECHNIQUE:

~Cut off the top of your Q-Tip so there is just a little padding above the cardboard stick.
~Ink up gently by rubbing on your ink pad.
~Color your smaller images with your Q-Tip.
~This words great for images about 1/4″ and larger.

SPONGE DAUBER TECHNIQUE 2:

~Ink up your Sponge Dauber in your ink pad.
~Sponge the color directly onto your Embossing Folder where you want the color.
~Add your cardstock to the other side of your Folder.
~Open your mouth wide and blow on your inked Embossing Folder to remoisten the ink.
~Close your Embossing Folder and run through your Machine.

PAINTBRUSH TECHNIQUE:

~Ink up the tip of your Paintbrush directly in your ink pad.
~Make small movements with your brush to color in the image.
~I like to go from the center to the edge of the embossed image.

ADDITIONAL CARD SUPPLIES:

Cardstock: Azure Afternoon Card Base: Cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.
Basic White cardstock: 3″ x 5-1/2″
Adhesive: Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

CARD INSTRUCTIONS:

~Emboss your image on your Basic White cardstock.
~Color your Flowers with Blueberry Bushel ink on your Sponge Dauber.
~Cut most of the tips off your Q-Tip with scissors.
~Ink up one end of your Q-Tip with Granny Apple Green ink.
~Color your Leaves with your Q-Tip.
~Ink up the other end of your Q-Tip with Melon Mambo ink and color the small Flowers.
~Glue your embossed and colored Strip to your Azure Afternoon Card Base.
