This is the Wedding Card I made for my Church Choir Buddy and her new DH who were married on Friday. This card was my inspiration. I tried several other ideas but this is the card that got finished. I may use some of the other parts soon as her sister is getting married in less than 3 weeks.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Real Red card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. Watch this video if you want more details on Basic Card Bases. 2. Cut your Whisper White layer at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Run through your Big Shot with the Happy Heart Embossing Folder. Trim the sides close to the Hearts with your Paper Trimmer. Attach to card base with Tombow Glue. 3. Make your Real Red Envelope with your Envelope Punch Board. Cut your Real Red card stock at 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ square. Make your first Punch and Score at 2″. Watch this video if you need help using your Envelope Punch Board. 4. I used the retired Expressions Thinlit for the word “Love”, but it is retired. You can use either the Signo White Gel Pen or the Chalk Marker to write “Love” on the envelope. You can also use a stamp you like or just leave it blank. 5. Let’s die cut a couple of Heart Frames with our Framelits. The large one is from Whisper White and is used to mount the Glimmer Hearts to. I chose the largest straight-edged Heart Framelits. Use this sandwich: Magnetic Platform (or Multipurpose Platform with all tabs closed), a cutting plate, your Whisper White card stock. Lay both the Heart Framelits with the smaller inside the larger making sure there is an even space in between. The space in between will be your Heart Frame. 6. Now choose the Framelits for the smaller Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper Heart. I used the second and third smallest. Use the same process as above and cut out this Heart Frame. Use your Real Red Marker to color the edges so it will show up against the Whisper White background. 7. Punch 10 Silver Glimmer Hearts and 10 Red Glimmer Paper Hearts using the Itty Bitty Accents Heart Punch. Arrange the hearts around the Whisper White Heart Frame in the desired positions. Attach each Glimmer Heart to the Frame with a Glue Dot. Overlap the two Hearts that meet in the center. 8. Now to put everything together. Slide the large Heart Frame in the Real Red envelope to determine the position on the card front and where to add the Glue Dots to hold it in the envelope. Put a Glue Dot at the bottom tip and one along each side of this Heart to secure it in the envelope. I used Tombow Glue on the back of the envelope and the back of the Heart Frame that showed from behind to secure it to the card front. Now attach your Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Heart inside the large Heart. 9. If desired, you can add a piece of 4″ x 5-1/4″ Whisper White to the inside to write on. You can either add a couple of Punched Glimmer Hearts, or some stamped Hearts to the lower corners. Then write you message to the Bride and Groom. 10. Gift Wrapping Hint. If you give them two gifts of different sizes (such as a board game and a DVD OR Project Life Album and Pocket Pages with a Project Life Card Collection with the accessory pack inside the box), wrap the gifts separately. Then use Sticky Strip to attach the gifts together. This way they will stay in place even if you don’t tie ribbon around them.
This fun new Hexagon Hive Thinlit is a fun background for this Valentine card. Use a Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to turn your Hexagon Hive Thinlit or any die cut into a sticker! Video is at the bottom of this blog post.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut Your Whisper White card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. *2. Watch the Video below for this step. Cut your Cherry Cobbler card stock at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Cut a piece of Multipurpose Adhesive sheet the same size. Peel off the words on the Adhesive Sheet and adhere it to your Cherry Cobbler card stock. Run though your Big Shot using this sandwich: Magnetic OR Multipurpose Platform (all tabs closed), cutting plate, card stock with adhesive side touching cutting plate, Wax Paper, Hexagon Hive Thinlit, and your top cutting plate. Poke out the hexagons that are cut. Not all of them will come out-they are not supposed to! Set aside the hexagon stickers for another project. Peel off the adhesive backing and adhere to your card front. 3. Stamp your Banner Blast Hearts in Real Red ink inside each full hexagon. Use your Stamp-a-ma-jig if you want them perfectly placed, or just try to stamp in the center like I did. 4. Stamp your “Love” and “When I thing of YOU I can’t STOP SMILING” sentiments in Real Red in on Whisper White card stock. Cut out the “SMILING” sentiment with the coordinating Chalk Talk Framelit. Hand cut your “Love” . Put Dimensionals on the back of both sentiments. 5. Cut your Silver Glimmer Paper Heart out with the desired size Heart Framelit. I used the third one from the center. Use your Small Heart Punch to punch out your Red Glimmer Paper Heart. Put Dimensionals on the back of both Hearts. 6. Position the “LOVE” and Small Red Glimmer Paper Heart on top of the Silver Glimmer Paper Heart. Adhere in the desired positions with the Dimensionals. Position your Silver Glimmer Paper Heart and your “Smiling” sentiment in the desired positions on your card front. Adhere. 7. You can use some of the Hexagon Stickers you made to decorate the corners inside your card and on the outside of your envelope. I have not yet tested to see how well they make it through the mail on the outside of an envelope.
I made this card for my Daughter’s and her DH’s first Anniversary. This card would also probably look nice White on White with just a little color on the Butterflies. Give either one a try. I generally use my family members’ favorite colors when I make cards for them.
My DH and I are celebrating our Anniversary today. I will show you the Anniversary Card I made for my DH later this week. We are watching some movies this afternoon, going out to dinner and going to a Big Band Concert that also has singers and swing dancers. It will be a fun day! We will also be joining my Daughter and her husband for a play sometime this month.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut yourMidnight Muse card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Gumball Green card front at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Run through your Big Shot with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder. Adhere to card base. 3. Cut the Silver Glimmer Paper with the desired Heart Framelit. Adhere to card front with Dimensionals or SNAIL. 4. Stamp 1 large Butterfly in Midnight Muse ink. Stamp 1 more Butterfly in Garden Green ink. Let air dry for a few minutes or use your Heat Tool if you aren’t feeling very patient. I wasn’t patient and used my Heat Tool on High to dry my ink. 5. Color the back side of your Midnight Muse Butterfly with your Bashful Blue Marker. Color the back of your Garden Green Butterfly with your Certainly Celery Marker. Now you can punch out your Butterflies. 6. Cut strip of Bashful Blue card stock at 1/2″ OR 3/4″ x 5-1/2″ OR 6″. The card has been mailed so I don’t have the actual card to give you accurate measurements. Sorry I didn’t write them down. Stamp your sentiment using Garden Green ink. You can get the notches at the ends of the banner by either cutting the with scissors, using a square punch, or using the Hearts a Flutter Banner Framelit. Adhere with Dimensionals. 7. I wrote on the inside with a White Gel Pen. Make sure and let the ink air dry or dry it with your Heat Tool. I forgot on one of my Valentine’s cards and my grandson keeps asking his mother to read that side of the card too. 8. Admire your Anniversary Card and mail it off to the Happy Couple!
My oldest son and his wife just had their 9th Anniversary. Here is the card I made for them. If you don’t have the Candlelight Christmas Designer Series Paper today is the last day to order it. I do love the seeing the contrast of the Glimmer Paper and the flocking!
I will be posting a “Love” card every Wednesday between now and Valentine’s Day that can be used as a Valentine’s Day card, Wedding card, or Anniversary card just by changing the sentiment. Yes, they will most likely have hearts on them unless I change a lot. I have always loved using Hearts!

Adhere to card front. 3. Cut your Silver Glimmer paper AND your Candlelight Christmas flocked window sheet at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Put several Glue Dots under the red flocking on the window sheet and adhere it to the Silver Glimmer Paper. Adhere this layer to the Red Glimmer paper card front with either Dimensionals or Tombow Glue. 4. Stamp the Scallop Heart image in Real Red ink. 5. Stamp “Happy Anniversary” or desired sentiment in Real Red ink on your Stamp-a-ma-jig. Spray your Happy Anniversary stamp with Stampin’ Mist and wipe clean with a Tissue or paper towel. (I had to redo my whole heart a couple of times because my “clean” stamp left faint letters where it was supposed to stay White! I guess I need to clean my Stampin’ Scrub again.) Position the word “Happy” that is on your Stamp-a-ma-jig clear sheet in the desired position on your stamped Heart. Color the word “Happy” on your stamp with the Cherry Cobbler marker. Stamp in desired position using your Stamp-a-ma-jig. Spray your stamp and wipe clean as before. Check on a scrap to make sure that no letters show up when stamped. Now position the word “Anniversary” that is on your Stamp-a-ma-jig sheet in the desired position underneath the word “Happy“. Color the word Anniversary with your Cherry Cobbler marker. Stamp in desired position using your Stamp-a-ma-jig. Whew! The hard part is finished! 6. Cut your Scallop Heart out using the coordinating Hearts a Flutter Framelit. Choose the desired size Heart Collection Framelit to go behind your Scallop Heart. Cut this Heart out of your Red Glimmer Paper. Adhere the Scallop Heart and the Red Glimmer Paper Heart with Dimensionals. Adhere to the card front with Dimensionals. 7. Admire your Sparkly Card before making someone’s day and giving it to them!
1. Cut the Heart out from both the regular Cherry Cobbler card stock and the Core’dinations card stock. The heart will hang out of the embossing folder. Run through once with just a little bit not getting embossed. Then line up and press the embossed parts into the embossing folder and run through again. Glue the hearts together AFTER embossing the Core’dinations Heart.
2. Attach Heart and Sentiment with Dimensionals.
3. This card will NOT fit in a medium envelope. I used one of the (retired) large square envelopes.
I copied this cute little Easter Bunny Basket from Dawn Griffith. Here are the links to her videos: Basket and Bunny . I very seldom copy anything exactly, but this is so cute. It is also quick and easy.

I have purchased quite a few things from the new Stampin’ Up! Occasions Mini catalog. I have been thinking about what is my favorite purchase. My favorite this week is the new Hearts Collection Framelits. We are using them on 2 cards for my class on Friday: White on White Valentine, and the Take It to Heart Valentine. I am addicted to Hearts and these Heart Framelits are really fun to use. You can layer with them, turn any stamped image into a Heart cut out, use the coordinating stamp set and cut out the images, and make Heart frames. I am sure there are more than 4 ways to use these Heart Framelits. I guess I need more playing time to discover them!
I decided for this card I wanted to try multiple textures together and play with my Heart Framelits some more. I also used a new stamp from the Occasions Mini catalog-Candy Conversations. The small hearts are perfect for our Small Heart punch! Have fun making this one. Just remember to use your Embossing Folder first, then your Framelit because sometimes the paper “shrinks” some and won’t fit just right.

Scissors with long blades to get a straighter cut
DIRECTIONS: 1. Cut Whisper White card base 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Embossing. Take Whisper White card base and line it up inside the Houndstooth embossing folder. Run through Big Shot. Next use the Stripes embossing folder with Pretty in Pink card stock and run through Big Shot. Then use Melon Mambo and the Elegant Lines embossing with the Big Shot. 3. Heart Framelits. Place the largest Heart Framelit that isn’t scalloped in desired position on Pretty in Pink card stock. Place the next smaller size inside the larger Heart in desired position. To help them stay in place use a sticky note or blue painter’s tape to hold the framelit and paper in desired positions. (I just learned the sticky note trick yesterday from my friend Karen!) Next line up the smaller Heart Framelit in desired position over the Elegant Lines Melon Mambo. Use the sticky note or painter’s tape again. 4. Adhere Pretty in Pink Stripes Heart to Whisper White card front. Next adhere Melon Mambo Heart inside Pretty in Pink Heart. Use Snail , Tombow, or mini glue dots. 5. Now for the stamping. Stamp the Candy Conversations stamp on Whisper White card stock using Melon Mambo ink. Use your scissors to cut out the Valentine sentiment and arrow. Adhere over Heart Framelits using Dimensionals (I used Dimensional cut in half.) Now punch out the desired Heart with the Small Heart punch. Adhere with a Dimensional. 6. Admire your Textured Valentine! You can mix and match the different sizes of Heart Framelits and the Textured Impressions Embossing Folders for a variety of looks.
I saw a Wedding card similar to this on Pinterest not made with Stampin’ Up! products. I thought I could remake it using only Stampin’ Up! supplies. I think it turned out well and at least has hearts and flowers on it like the original did. Oh well, I am not very good at following recipes well when I cook either.
DIRECTIONS: 1. Cut out the large heart from Whisper White card stock using the 2nd and 3rd largest Heart Framelits dies. Cut out the smaller heart from the piece you just cut out using the next smaller Heart Framelit. (If you need more instructions on using Framelits with your Big Shot, please sign up for my FREE Newsletter. There is an instruction sheet you can print off for Big Shot Sandwiches with my notes to help you get it right the first time.) 2. Emboss a 4″ x 5-1/4″ Whisper White card stock with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and your Big Shot. Attach with Snail or mini glue dots to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Pink Pirouette card base scored and folded at 4-1/4″. 3. Next emboss the small Heart cut out with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Put 3 Dimensionals on the back. Remove the backing and stick another Dimensional on top of each Dimensional so they are stacked 2 high. 4. Punch 3 sets of flowers with the Boho Blossoms punch from a scrap of Whisper White card stock. Punch 6 leave from a 1″ strip of Wild Wasabi card stock. Color a Pretty in Pink circle in the center of desired flowers. Curl the ends of the flowers up with your fingers and fingernails if desired. 5. Decide on placement of the Hearts, flowers, and leaves. Remember how it looks. 6. Put Mini Glue Dots on the bottom point of the large heart and on the lower sides of the large heart. Put Dimensionals on the top rounded parts of the large heart and a small part of a Dimensional on the point of the large heart. Place the large heart as desired. Place small Polka Dot Heart as desired. 7. Use mini glue dots to attach small flowers inside large flowers. Attach leaves with mini glue dots as desired either before or after attaching flowers to card. 8. Admire you elegant, classy white on white card which can be used as a Wedding, Anniversary, or Valentine card.
I have been working on the computer a lot the last few days. If you will notice there is a new Newsletter Sign-up box in my sidebar! I have even tested it out and it works! I am always really happy when something finally works-especially technological stuff! So if you haven’t already subscribed to my Newsletter, please test-drive my form and let me know if it works (or doesn’t work) either by commenting or emailing me. You will be directed to a page with a form asking you to choose your user name and password which you will need to get to the members-only My Newsletter Project Pages. My Newsletter Project Pages has all the projects and templates I have given to my Newsletter Subscribers. I am still working on separate links for some of the projects, but those instructions are included in the Newsletter Links.
So finally, here is my post for today. I have started making Valentine’s cards. We will be making this at my class next week. It does use the new Hearts Collection Framelits from the Occasions Mini catalog.
SUPPLIES: Stamps: Take It to Heart (Occasions Mini) page 14 w#125520 c#125522
French Filigree page 151 #113742 Ink: Rose Red Card Stock: Regal Rose
Whisper White Big Shot: Hearts Collection Framelits (Occasions Mini) page 6 #125599
Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder page 219 #116824
Snow Burst Embossing Folder (still available) #124096 Other: Dimensionals
Dotto OR blue painter’s tape
DIRECTIONS: 1. Cut Regal Rose card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Ink up French Filigree stamp with Rose Red ink. Lay stamp on table with inked rubber facing up. Lay folded card base on top of rubber in desired position. Use a Clear Block or wood part of a stamp to rub card stock. When finished, lift card base off stamp. 3. Stamp Bicycle image on Whisper White card stock with Rose Red ink. 4. I have had trouble with the Framelit moving when I put the top cutting pad on. So I have come up with a couple of options to keep the Framelit in place. Option 1: Run a line of Dotto on the card stock where you are going to place your Framelit. This should hopefully keep your Framelit in place while running it through the Big Shot. Option 2: Place your Framelit on the card stock where you want it. Tear off a piece of blue painter’s tape about 1″ or so. Tape it to your jeans once or twice to remove a lot of the adhesive. Now tape it to your Framelit and card stock-keeping the tape away from the center of the Framelit. Run through your Big Shot. Big Shot Sandwich: (top to bottom)
Framelit and card stock
Multipurpose Platform Tab 2 (both tabs closed) 5. Now let’s get out our Big Shot and try out the Heart Framelits. Let’s practice on our plain card stock first. Choose the 3 Heart Framelits you will be using. Choose the largest of the 3 and cut a Rose Red card stock heart. (Remember-Option 1 OR Option 2 and your Big Shot Sandwich.) Use the middle sized Heart Framelit and cut it out of Regal Rose card stock. Now get your stamped bicycle image. Choose the Heart that fits over it best. (Use either Option 1 or Option 2.) Now run it through your Big Shot. 6. Take your Large Rose Red Heart and emboss it using the Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder. Emboss your Regal Rose Heart with the Snow Burst Embossing Folder. 7. Layer the 3 Hearts together using Dimensionals. Use Dimensionals to attach the Layered Hearts to the card base. 8. Admire your pretty Valentine. Who will you give it to?
