INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Choose the following things from your Kit: Bermuda Bay striped card base, 3 colored Die Cut Butterflies and 2 plain Butterlies, Short Banner. You will also need Clear Mount Blocks for your stamps, the other supplies listed above, and your adhesives. Choose your sentiment if you want something different than shown. You want the sentiments to coordinate on the Banner and the Butterflies. 2. Stamp the plain Butterfly die cuts with Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight ink pads using the “Hello” stamp. I tried to stamp in lines to fill the entire die cut. 3. Remove the excess pieces from the colored Butterflies using your Bone Folder. Attach these Butterflies to the stamped Butterflies by putting 3-4 Glue Dots on the Body of each Butterfly. Fluff up the wings. Color the body of the smallest Butterfly die cut with your Calypso Coral Marker. 4. Stamp the sentiment in Calypso Coral ink. Put Dimensionals on the back. 5. Decide what size of Lots Of Labels Framelit you want to use and cut it out of Pool Party card stock. Put Dimensionals on the back. 6. Position everything the way you want it. Attach the Lots of Labels die cut first, then the Banner. Attach the two larger Butterflies with Dimensionals. Attach the smallest Butterfly with Glue Dots under the center of the Body. 7. You now have a beautiful Butterfly Card!
This Thank You card was made for a wonderful lady at Church who was head of the Women’s organization for many years. We passed it around and everyone signed it. Do you know someone special who deserves an extra-large Thank You?
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. This card uses a full sheet of 8-1/2″ x 11″ Thick Whisper White card stock for the card base. It really does need to be scored (at 5-1/2″) before folding. Use your Bone Folder to make a crisp crease line. 2. Cut your Elegant Eggplant card stock at 5-1/2″ x 6″. Position it inside the Fluttering Embossing Folder so the Butterflies will be in the correct position for putting them on your card front. Attach this embossed piece to your 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Perfect Plum card front with Tombow Glue. 3. Use your Butterfly Thinlits to cut out two large Butterflies: one from Perfect Plum card stock, and one from Glimmer Paper. I like to put a piece of Parchment Paper between the Thinlit and the card stock/Glimmer Paper. You will need to run the Glimmer Paper Butterfly through the Big Shot 4-5 times to get all the parts to completely cut. Watch this Video for more details. 4. Now cut out the “Thanks” and the name from your Thinlits. Use Parchment Paper between the Glimmer Paper and the Thinlit. I think I just ran these through once or twice. 5. Use Tombow Glue to attach the Butterflies bodies together. I put the Perfect Plum Butterfly slightly lower than the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper Butterfly. You will need to hold them together for a bit to make sure they stay stuck together. 6. Attach the Venetian Crochet Trim to the card. There are several options:
~Run a line of Fast Fuse OR Snail Adhesive where you want the Ribbon
~Put the Adhesive on the back of the card stock and attach the ends of the Ribbon only on the back
~You can also use a few Glue Dots placed under the Ribbon: one at each end and several in between. 7. Arrange the Butterflies, Thanks, and Name in the desired Positions on your card front. Attach with Tombow Glue. Notes:
~This card held together perfectly even after being passed around the room and having lots of ladies sign it.
~You will need to make your own envelope using the Envelope Punch Board since this card is 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. I did not make an envelope as it was presented to her with a quilt made by another lady.
This is actually the last card (16th card) I made using supplies from the Tin of Cards Project Kit. I had been thinking of using the swirly line stamp to stamp the card background. I had also tried using the Deco Label Framelit to make a Pool Party striped embossed mat for another card, but didn’t like it so I used it here. Have fun! Remember to check back every Wednesday for another card from the Tin of Cards Project Kit. SUPPLIES: Tin of Cards Project Kit #138378
~Solid White card base
~Gold Heart Tin of Cards stamp set #138946
Island Indigo ink pad
Pool Party Marker & card stock
Glue Dots Big Shot:Deco Label Framelits #130102 Stylish Stripes embossing folder #132174
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Get out a solid White card base. Stamp the swirly line stamp in Island Indigo ink diagonally starting at one corner. Continue stamping the swirly lines about 1″ apart. Sometimes you will need to stamp again to finish the line. Repeat until the lines are complete. 2. Cut a Deco Label Framlit from Pool Party card stock. Then run it through your Big Shot with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder. Color the raised stripes with your Pool Party Marker. Attach to your card front with Dimensionals. 3. Choose your round sentiment. Attach a Gold Glimmer Paper Heart using Glue Dots. Attach your sentiment to the Deco Label with Dimensionals. 4. You are finished! Now either file it in your Tin to use later, or give to someone right away.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Crushed Curry card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″/ Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Daffodil Delight card front at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Run through your Big Shot with the NEW larger Fluttering embossing folder. Attach to your card base. 3. Cut your Whisper White Tag at 1-3/4″ wide by at least 5-1/2″ long. Stamp your sentiment in Delightful Dijon ink. I stamped mine close to the lower edge and centered it on the tag. I then punched the top end using the Scallop Topper Punch, and the other end with the Banner Triple Punch. OPTION: You can punch the ends first, then do the stamping. Doing this will make it easier to get your sentiment stamped in the center. This is what I will encourage my ladies at class to do. 4. Thread about 6″ of Baker’s Twine through the Tag hole. 5. Punch out a large and small butterfly from Gold Glimmer Paper. Attach with Glue Dots in the desired positions. 6. You are finished and ready to send it to an Awesome someone.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your card base (choose 1 of the above card stock colors) at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Stamp your Dinosaur in Delightful Dijon ink on Whisper White card stock. Stamp the Bones in Tip Top Taupe ink. Stamp your sentiment close to your Dinosaur in Tip Top Taupe ink. 3. Cut your Dinosaur out with an Oval Framelit. Cut the next larger Framelit from Delightful Dijon card stock. Layer the two together with Tombow Glue. 4. Cut your Tip Top Taupe card stock at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Run through your Big Shot with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. Glue to your card base. Glue your Dinosaur layers to the card front. 5. Mail to a special boy or Dinosaur lover and add some excitement to their life!

I taught a Mother’s Day card class Thursday for the 8-11 year old Achievement Day girls from Church. They each received a packet for a Melon Mambo card and a Perfect Plum card. Here are the samples using the Petal Potpourri Bundle (stamp set and punch). They had a fun time being creative and did well with cleaning their stamps when they were done using them. I did explain they were using “Grown-up Glue” and that they did not need to use very much. We only had two girls that forgot. Hopefully their mothers can open their cards.
BASIC INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Card stock. Choose your colors. A. Perfect Plum and Whisper White, OR B. Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette. OR C. Choose your own color combination.
~card base cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
~card front for use with embossing folder is cut at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.
~Pink Pirouette and Whisper White for stamping and Punching.
~Silver Glimmer Paper. Punch a 3/4″ circle for each flower center if desired. 2. Run your card front through the Big Shot with an embossing folder if desired. Glue to your card base. 3. Stamp the flowers and the sentiment. Punch them out. Glue them on your card in the desired positions. Glue your Silver Glimmer Paper circles to the Flower centers if desired.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Whisper White card stock or Watercolor Paper at 2-1/8″ x 3-3/4″. I used Whisper White card stock which warped due to the water. You can also use Watercolor Paper to keep your paper more flat. 2. Stamp your Koala Bear with the Black StayzOn ink. 3. Color your Koala Bear. I used the Chocolate Chip Marker on the left side and colored about 1/8″ along the left side lines-paws, tummy, face, and around the outside edges of his ears. Next use your Baked Brown Sugar or Soft Suede Marker to color about 1/8″ next to the Chocolate Chip on his body and face. Use your Crumb Cake Marker to color in the rest of his body, face, and ears. Use your Crisp Cantaloupe Marker to color the center of his ears. The Basic Gray Marker is for his nose. You might as well color the flower with a yellow Marker. I just colored the petal tips. (I just noticed I forgot to color the center of the flower. You might want to do that now. I think I will just add some Dazzling Details to it.) 3. Place your card stock or water color paper on top of several layers of paper as the water will soak through and the color will bleed through and can stain your surface. Fill your Aqua Painter with water. Press against the paper towel while gently squeezing to start your water flowing through the tip. “Color” each part of the Koala and flower to get the look you want. You can either start at the darker colors like I did, OR start with the lighter colors. Use circular motions to blend the colors and get the gradual shading effect. Don’t worry if you go outside the lines a little – watercoloring does that. I did not use the Aqua Painter on the inside of his ears. Set aside to dry. 4. Cut your Crisp Cantaloupe card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 5. Cut your Crisp Cantaloupe card front at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Run through your Big Shot with your embossing folder. Glue to your card base. 6. Cut your Soft Suede card layer at 2-1/2″ x 4-1/8″. Use the Corner Rounder Punch to round all the corners. Put Dimensionals on the back. 6. When your Koala is dry, use the Corner Rounder Punch to round all the corners. Put Dimensionals on the back edge and center. Attach to the Soft Suede layer, then to your card base. 7. You can also emboss the flap of your envelope using the same embossing folder you used on your card front. Watch this video for instructions.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Pink Pirouette card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Pink Pirouette card front at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Sponge your Spring Flowers embossing folder with Blackberry Bliss ink making sure to sponge the inside where the flowers will be raised. Only sponge the flat part and not into the lowered flower and vine cutouts. Run through your Big Shot with the card front inside. Wash off your embossing folder by holding it under running water in you sink. Only takes a few seconds to clean. Dry with a paper towel. Attach your colored and embossed card to your card base with Tombow Glue. 3. Place your flower stamp on they Clear Block and bend the stem so it curves nicely. Stamp with Memento Black ink on Whisper White card stock. Color the coordinating stamp with Markers: Blackberry Bliss for the flowers and Old Olive for the Leaves. Now use your Label Framelit and cut out with the Flower being as close to the one side edge as you can get it. Now stamp your sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink. I darkened some of the letters with the Blackberry Bliss marker so they would show up better. 4. Attach some of the Blackberry Bliss velvet ribbon in diagonals as shown. Add Rhinestones to the ends of the ribbon if desired. 5. Take three ribbon roses and darken with your Blackberry Bliss sponge wedge until you get the color you want. Trim off the excess netting from around the flowers. Cut one ribbon rose off. Attach the ribbon roses with Glue Dots in the desired positions. Put Dimensionals on the back of your decorated card stock. 6. Cut the next larger Label Framelit from Blackberry Bliss card stock. Attach to decorated piece. Attach these layers to embossed card front with Dimensionals. 7. Stamp the inside with a sentiment or write your own sentiment. 8. You can also emboss the Envelope Flap with the Spring Flowers embossing folder if desired. You can sponge the embossing folder if you want some extra color on your envelope flap.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Rose Red card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Attach to card base. 3. Cut your Blackberry Bliss card stock at 1″ x 5-1/4″. Run through your Big Shot with the Spring Flowers embossing folder. 4. Attach about 6″ of the Rose Red Ribbon from the Artisan Embellishment Kit (or choose another ribbon) using Glue Dots to attach the ends of the ribbon to the back of your embossed Blackberry Bliss strip. 5. Stamp the thin “Wreath” in Wild Wasabi ink on Whisper White card stock. Stamp several small flowers in Blackberry Bliss ink around your Wreath. Cut out with the coordinating size Window Frames Framelit and your Big Shot. Sponge around the edges with Blackberry Bliss ink. Add small Pearls. Put Dimensionals on the back. 6. Lay your Wreath and Ribbon Strip in the desired positions and attach. Attach the Ribbon strip with either Fast Fuse or Tombow Glue. Add larger Pearls to flowers on the Designer Series Paper if desired. 7. You can also emboss the Envelope flap using the Spring Flowers embossing folder if desired. Watch this video to show you how.
My daughter’s and son-in-law’s anniversary was on St. Patrick’s Day and this is the card I made for them. Most of it is quick and easy except for the Heart drying time. Enjoy tweaking this one for someone special. You could use any punched or die cut shape instead of the hearts.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Daffodil Delight card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Night of Navy card front at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Stamp your sentiment in Silver ink. Let dry for a few seconds. Run through your Big Shot with the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder. 3. Punch your Hearts from the Silver and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. Lay on the card front in the position you want. Now punch your small stars from Daffodil Delight card stock. Put a dot of Tombow Glue on an embossed Night of Navy Star and glue your punched star on top of an embossed star. Do this until you have as many stars as you want above your hearts. 4. Now lay your sparkly Hearts on the Silicone Craft Sheet. Cover each Heart with Crystal Effects. Let dry for 4-5 hours or overnight. (You can just use the Hearts without the Crystal Effects if you want.) 5. After your Crystal Effects has dried on your Hearts, trim any overhanging Crystal Effects from around the edges of your Hearts with Paper Snips. Glue onto your card. 6. Stamp your sentiment in Black ink on Whisper White card stock. Cut out with the Itty Bitty Banners Framelit. Color the edges with your Daffodil Delight Marker. Attach to Hearts with Glue Dots. 7. If you want to add some excitement to the envelope you can use the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder on the envelope flap. Watch this Video to show you how to do this.
We made this Glimmer Butterfly card at my February Stamp Class. I saw This Cardwith the debossed areas in the embossing folder watercolored. It was beautiful! However, she is much more patient than I am so I came up with this card which is pretty quick and easy.
This video is about 12.5 minutes long.
SUPPLIES: Stamps: Petite Petals Ink: Blushing Bride
Melon Mambo or Strawberry Slush Marker (I think) Card Stock: Blushing Bride
Silver Glimmer Paper Big Shot: Butterfly Thinlits #137360
Spring Flower Embossing Folder # Punch:Petite Petals #133322 Other:Basic Pearls #119247
TIP: Remember to put Parchment Paper on both sides of the Glimmer Paper (top and bottom) with Sparkly side up and run through your Big Shot FOUR times.
This is the Wedding Card I made for my Church Choir Buddy and her new DH who were married on Friday. This card was my inspiration. I tried several other ideas but this is the card that got finished. I may use some of the other parts soon as her sister is getting married in less than 3 weeks.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Real Red card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. Watch this video if you want more details on Basic Card Bases. 2. Cut your Whisper White layer at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Run through your Big Shot with the Happy Heart Embossing Folder. Trim the sides close to the Hearts with your Paper Trimmer. Attach to card base with Tombow Glue. 3. Make your Real Red Envelope with your Envelope Punch Board. Cut your Real Red card stock at 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ square. Make your first Punch and Score at 2″. Watch this video if you need help using your Envelope Punch Board. 4. I used the retired Expressions Thinlit for the word “Love”, but it is retired. You can use either the Signo White Gel Pen or the Chalk Marker to write “Love” on the envelope. You can also use a stamp you like or just leave it blank. 5. Let’s die cut a couple of Heart Frames with our Framelits. The large one is from Whisper White and is used to mount the Glimmer Hearts to. I chose the largest straight-edged Heart Framelits. Use this sandwich: Magnetic Platform (or Multipurpose Platform with all tabs closed), a cutting plate, your Whisper White card stock. Lay both the Heart Framelits with the smaller inside the larger making sure there is an even space in between. The space in between will be your Heart Frame. 6. Now choose the Framelits for the smaller Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper Heart. I used the second and third smallest. Use the same process as above and cut out this Heart Frame. Use your Real Red Marker to color the edges so it will show up against the Whisper White background. 7. Punch 10 Silver Glimmer Hearts and 10 Red Glimmer Paper Hearts using the Itty Bitty Accents Heart Punch. Arrange the hearts around the Whisper White Heart Frame in the desired positions. Attach each Glimmer Heart to the Frame with a Glue Dot. Overlap the two Hearts that meet in the center. 8. Now to put everything together. Slide the large Heart Frame in the Real Red envelope to determine the position on the card front and where to add the Glue Dots to hold it in the envelope. Put a Glue Dot at the bottom tip and one along each side of this Heart to secure it in the envelope. I used Tombow Glue on the back of the envelope and the back of the Heart Frame that showed from behind to secure it to the card front. Now attach your Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Heart inside the large Heart. 9. If desired, you can add a piece of 4″ x 5-1/4″ Whisper White to the inside to write on. You can either add a couple of Punched Glimmer Hearts, or some stamped Hearts to the lower corners. Then write you message to the Bride and Groom. 10. Gift Wrapping Hint. If you give them two gifts of different sizes (such as a board game and a DVD OR Project Life Album and Pocket Pages with a Project Life Card Collection with the accessory pack inside the box), wrap the gifts separately. Then use Sticky Strip to attach the gifts together. This way they will stay in place even if you don’t tie ribbon around them.
I made this Valentine card for my family. It was fairly quick and easy to make multiples. I did vary the ribbon colors using Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and Cherry Cobbler 3/4″ Chevron Ribbon. I did get them ALL mailed yesterday!!
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Cherry Cobbler card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. Watch this video for detailed instructions. 2. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Cut a piece of Real Red card stock at 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. Run through the Big Shot with the Happy Hearts embossing folder making sure the Hearts will be going the direction you want them to. Glue to the end of your Whisper White card stock. Run this card stock through the Big Shot with your Top Note die with the side with the Real Red embossed piece touching the die. 3. Stamp your sentiments in Real Red ink. 4. Punch a Heart from Red Glimmer Paper and attach it with Dimensionals. 5. Tie the ribbon around the card over the Real Red Hearts. 6. Attach your Top Note die to your card base using Dimensionals. I used 9 whole Dimensionals in 3 rows: along both edges and down the center. 7. You might want to put a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White on the inside of your card to write on. Stamp if desired.
I was watching a video (which I cannot find now) and dreamed about making a Pirate that moved for my grandsons Valentines Day cards. It worked! I also decided to make a sliding Heart Valentine for my granddaughters. Hope you enjoy making these. If it is after Valentine’s Day you can choose any stamp you can cut out (punch out, die cut, or use scissors) to make it slide. The video is just over 20 minutes long.

We made this You Plus Me Valentine card at a women’s meeting at Church. The ladies (and a couple of daughters) had a lot of fun. Most of their cards turned out a little differently than mine, but they had fun and the cards were cute. I should have remembered to take a picture of some of their cards.

Also punch out a Whisper White 2-1/2″ Circle. Punch out a little Heart from the Silver Glimmer Paper. 4. Lay all pieces on your card front in the desired positions. Attach with either Tombow Glue or Dimensionals. 5. Some variations I saw: stamp some of the hearts around the “Be Mine” so there is not a lot of white showing, same idea for the large white circle. Add more Glimmer Hearts. Have fun with this stamp set and card!

Stamp your flower with Island Indigo ink on both Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay card stock. Punch out. If desired, curve you flowers with your Bone Folder by curling 3 petals at a time. Rotate so you have 1 petal from the last three and two new petals. Continue until you like how your flower looks. Attach on top of Bermuda Bay flower with Dimensionals. Punch out a 7/8″ Scallop Circle from the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and attach to the center of your flower with a Dimensional. 4. Decide where to put your flower and where you want your ribbon. Tie Ribbon and trim ends if needed. Attach Flower in desired position. Now attach card front to card base with Fast Fuse adhesive or Tombow Glue. 5. Now give to someone to let them know you think they are awesome!
I love this Pirate stamps which is perfect for boys! I bought it so my grandson could make Valentine’s cards for his school classmates. On the first card he made I asked why he didn’t color the picture. He said he wanted to let them have fun coloring. I enjoyed coloring the cute Pirate picture and so did the ladies at my Stamp Class. You can choose whether you color it or let the recipient color it.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cut your Real Red card base at 5-1/2″ x 9-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. 2. Cut your Chocolate Chip bottom card layer at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Attach to your card base. 3.
