Project 1: Top Note die with a Twist….. or Two or Three

Hint: Keep the same side of the card stock facing up through all the steps so the perforated “sewing” will look the same.
1. Take your Top Note die, a ruler, and a fine Sharpie pen (or similar). Mark a line on each gray plastic edge where the points come out at approximately in the center of each edge. This will help with positioning the card stock.
2. Run your Top Note die through your Big Shot as usual.
3. Twist 1: Rotate your Top Note die cut 1/4 turn. Align points with the points on the die that are not covered now by the card stock. Run through the Big Shot again. This will make a square shaped Top Note you can use on your projects (plus two mustaches!).

4. Twist 2: Rotate your Squared Top Note die cut so the “Corners” align with the little marks you made on the gray plastic part of your die. Run through the Big Shot for a third time. This makes a very Elegant Shape you can use on any project.

5. Twist 3: Place your Elegant Shaped Top Note die cut so the Long parts go across the shorter part of the die. Run through the Big Shot for a Fourth Time. You now have a inward scalloped circle you can use on any project.

Have fun playing with your Top Note die and your Big Shot!

Project 3: Leaf Basket

This is a fun little basket that can be made in any size easily divisible by 3. As you stamp each image, pay attention to which parts will be at an angle, or you can cut squares to position after the basket is put together. This basket can be held together just with a brad or you can use Sticky Strip or glue.

I used my Paper Piercing Tool and Mat Pack to pierce through all card stock layers to make using the brads easier. I also used Dotto Removable Adhesive to hold the sides in place while piercing. Any size Brad can be used.

I am including the Pattern with instructions for a small one with each square being 1-3/4”. The total measurements are: length: 4-1/8”, width: 1-3/4”, depth: 2-1/2”, height including handle: 4-1/2”. I made one of these years ago with 12”x12” card stock.   Basket Pattern  (Note:  The Pattern is Titled “Cherry Basket.  Click on the link on this page and the next page to get to the PDF file.)

For this basket I used Crumb Cake card stock, Always Artichoke ink, Day of Gratitude stamp set (page 28 w#120835  c#121146), 5/16” Jumbo Brads (page 199  #112534), and Dotto Removable Adhesive (page 206 #103305).
