January Stamp Class Cards

Here are the cards we made at my Stamp Class last Friday.  I am taking today off hanging out with my son who just returned from almost 8 years in Germany.

January Stamp Class Cards-1

The Tarnished Foil Technique Card is one of the projects I did for my Creative Techniques Corner subscribers.  Click HERE for more details.

The next card used the Love You Still and Banners for You stamp sets.  We did the coloring with the Blends Markers.

January Stamp Class cards 2

We tested out my NEW Stamparatus for both these cards.  You can order yours in June.

The Party Pandas looked best with 2-3 layers of ink which was super easy to do with the Stamparatus.  I also used the Color Theory Designer Series Paper for the Bamboo stalks and the leaves are from the Everyday Jars Framelits.

The Lovely Wishes card also used the Stamparatus.  We placed the two flower and leaf stamps on one side, then stamped, then rotated the card front and stamped again.  We also lined up the Happy Wishes stamps in the Stamparatus and stamped it.  We again colored with Blends Markers.

Contact me if you have any questions.

Happy Card Making!

Love You Always Card

This card uses the NEW Love You Still stamp set from the 2018 Occasions Catalog.  I colored it with my NEW Blends Markers.  I hope you have as much fun making this card as I did!

Cardstock:  Real Red
Whisper White
Adhesive:  Fast Fuse or SNAIL

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Cur your Real Red card base at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
2.  Cut your Whisper White card front at  4″ x 5-1/4″.
3.  Stamp your Flower Arch image and Love You Yesterday sentiment in Memento Black ink.  Stamp the I Love You in Real Red ink.
4.  Although there are two-step stamps for the Arch, flowers and leaves, I chose to color the images with my Blends Markers.  Make sure you have at least 1-2 layers of scratch paper under your cardstock when coloring as there will be bleed-through of the Blends inks.
~Crumb Cake Dark along the left sides of the wood.  Crumb Cake Light to color in the rest and blend out the lines.
~Old Olive Dark and Light for the leaves.
~Daffodil Delight Dark for the center of the large flower.  I had accidently colored the center with the Cherry Cobbler Dark.  I used my Color Lifter to remove the color, then colored the center with Daffodil Delight Dark.  So I am having you do the Daffodil Delight first.
~Cherry Cobbler Dark for the large flower with the Daffodil Delight center.
~Cherry Cobbler Light for the other three flowers.
5.  Attach your colored card front to your card base.

6.  My Valentine.  Put the My Valentine and the long flower & vine stamps on a D Block.
~Color with the Rose Red Marker and the Wild Wasabi Marker.  Remoisten by breathing on the colored stamp with your mouth wide open for several breaths.  Stamp on Blushing Bride card stock.
~Cut out using the large Chalk Talk Framelit.  Place your top cutting pad only on the part of the Framelit you want to cut.  Run through your Big Shot.  Now reverse the top cutting plate, lining up the cut lines with the inside of the Framelit until it is in the position you want.  Again, only place the top cutting plate over the part that needs to be cut.  Run through your Big Shot.
~Lay our cut out My Valentine on Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper and cut out about 1/4″ larger on each side.  Trim the corners last.
~Attach the card stock and Glimmer Paper together with Dimensionals.
~Add a small Pearl to the center of the Flower, as shown.
7.  Lay out the Flowered Heart and the My Valentine in the positions you want them.  Attach to card front with Dimensionals.
8.  Punch three small Glimmer Paper Hearts with the Itty Bitty Accents Heart Punch.  Attach to card front with Dimensionals on top of embossed Hearts.
9.  You now have an elegant Valentine to give to your BFF or another favorite woman in your life.

Bloomin’ Heart Gift Bag

I have really enjoyed using the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit and the coordinating stamp set, Bloomin’ Love.  This detailed Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit is quick and easy when you use the Big Shot Die Brush and your Bone Folder.
Bloomin Heart Gift Bag-Birthday Bouquet paper
Bloomin Heart Gift Bag-Perfectly Artistic paperSUPPLIES:
Stamps:  Bloomin’ Love Photopolymer #140643  (Bundle with Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit #140818)
Ink:  Rose Red/Lost Lagoon  (Choose ink to coordinate or contrast with your paper)
Card Stock:  Whisper White
Garden Green/Mossy Meadow
Designer Series Paper:  Birthday Bouquet (striped) #140557
Perfectly Artistic #141021  (Sale-a-Bration product FREE through February 15, 2016 with $50 purchase)
Big Shot:  Bloomin Heart Thinlit #140621 (see Bundle above)
Precision Base Plate
Big Shot Die Brush #140603
Tool:  Gift Bag Punch Board #135862
Ribbon:  Whisper White 5/8″ Satin #134549
Adhesives:  Stampin’ Dimensionals
Tear & Tape Adhesive

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Choose the green you want to cut with your Heart Thinlit.
2.  Big Shot cutting sandwich:  Magnetic OR Multipurpose Platform, Precision Base Plate, card stock, Thinlit with cutting side on card stock, FLAT cutting plate (this makes a huge difference!!).  Run through your Big Shot at least once, twice if it didn’t cut all the way.  If you can peel off around the Heart, then it cut all the way.  If not, just stick down and run through again making sure everything is lined up properly.
3.  Take your Thinlit and card stock and place them on the Big Shot Die Brush foam pad and firmly roll the Die Brush over the Heart Thinlit.  You can run the Dir Brush over both sides if you need to.    The goal is to get most of the excess card stock to separate from the rest of the card stock.  When you get an edge so it peels up you can peel up the rest.  If it is a little stubborn, you can slide your Bone Folder between the card stock and the Thinlit.  This should separate the piece that you want from all the little pieces you don’t want.
4.  Choose the ink color(s) for your Flowers.  I used the solid ones from the stamp set.  Pay attention to the little points on the stamps and put those so they face the same direction.  These will help you line up the Flower Thinlits tabs so you can get the Thinlit lined up with the stamped image more quickly.  You will need two large flowers and three small flowers.  Stamp and cut out with your Big Shot.
5.  Put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the flowers and on the back of the Heart in the flower area.  Attach the Flowers to the Thinlit.
6.  Cut your Designer Series Paper at 6″ x 12″.  Make a Large Gift Bag.  Watch This Video to show you how.  Just make your score lines on the “L”.  Punch holes on each line that is the side of the Back and Front.  Skip the center pleat lines.  Make sure and punch holes at both edges too.
7.  Now attach your Heart Thinlit.  You can hold a Clear E Block inside so you have a flat surface to press against while attaching your Heart.  If you think ahead, you can do this when your bag is flat.  The Bag Front has a pleated side on both sides.  You score the Bag Back first.
8.  Put in your treat or small gift now.
9.  If you punched accurately, you can pinch your sides together and see all the way through the holes.  This means you only have to thread your ribbon through holes on the left and then on the right (or reversed).  If you are not so lucky, pinch the front half of the side together and thread the ribbon through, then the back half of the same side and thread the ribbon through.  Repeat with the other side.
10.  Pull your ribbon tight and tie a bow.  Trim the ribbon ends.  You can add a tag if you want.  Your Bloon’ Heart Gift Bag is now ready to give to someone special.
