Tin of Tags Kit

The Tin of Tags Kit has a variety of Tags for Christmas and other occasions.  There are a total of 10 different Tags and you make 3 of each design.  These go pretty quickly.  We finished in less than 2 hours making all 30 and that included exploring what was in the Kit, punching out the different tags, stamping, and assembling all the tags.  The directions that come with this Kit are great.  The hardest part is punching out (gently) the wood snowflakes.  Use your fingernail or paper piercing tool to gently push out the extended snowflake parts, then the snowflake center.  I am including a typed copy of the How-To details included in the Kit, but in much larger print.

Tin of Tags How-To Details.  These are the same instructions printed on the sheet that comes with the kit.  They are just in a larger font.

Here are the tags:

Tin of Cards-White Heart Happy Birthday

Here is another version of the Tin of Cards White Heart card.  This version uses the +++++ stamp, Happy Birthday, and the longer Banner die cut included in the Kit.  Have fun making this!
Tin of Cards-White Heart CardSUPPLIES:
Tin of Cards Project Kit #138378
Tin of Cards Photopolymer stamp set #138946
Memento Black ink pad
Watermelon Wonder ink pad
Tombow Glue
Dimensionals

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Choose these items from your Tin of Cards Project Kit:  the White Card base with the Heart, the patterned paper, the long White Banner, the Gold Epoxy Hearts.  You will also need the other supplies listed above.
2.  Use your ++++ stamp and the Black Memento ink pad and stamp the +++++ where the different patterns meet.  This reminds me of quilting.  You might have to stamp more than once per line.  Just try to line up the ++ evenly.  You do not have to be perfect to have it look nice.
3.  Attach your patterned paper to the Heart card front.  Put a thin line of Tombow Glue around the edge of the printed side of the patterned paper and attach it from the inside of your card.  As long as it looks centered on the card inside it will look great from the card front.  I also like to add a couple of drops of Tombow Glue to the Heart so it will stay down on the patterned paper.
4.  Stamp “Happy Birthday” in Watermelon Wonder ink on the White Banner.  Attach to your card with Dimensionals.
5.  Add one large Gold Epoxy Heart and three smaller Hearts to the card front including one inside the Heart cutout.
6.  You have finished another card!

Tin of Cards-Last White card base-Congrats

This is actually the last card (16th card) I made using supplies from the Tin of Cards Project Kit.  I had been thinking of using the swirly line stamp to stamp the card background.  I had also tried using the Deco Label Framelit to make a Pool Party striped embossed mat for another card, but didn’t like it so I used it here.  Have fun!  Remember to check back every Wednesday for another card from the Tin of Cards Project Kit.
Tin of Cards-Swirly Stamp BackgroundSUPPLIES:
Tin of Cards Project Kit  #138378
~Solid White card base
~Congrats circle
~Gold Heart
Tin of Cards stamp set  #138946
Island Indigo ink pad
Pool Party Marker & card stock
Dimensionals
Glue Dots
Big Shot:  Deco Label Framelits #130102
Stylish Stripes embossing folder #132174

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Get out a solid White card base.  Stamp the swirly line stamp in Island Indigo ink diagonally starting at one corner.  Continue stamping the swirly lines about 1″ apart.  Sometimes you will need to stamp again to finish the line.  Repeat until the lines are complete.
2.  Cut a Deco Label Framlit from Pool Party card stock.  Then run it through your Big Shot with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder.  Color the raised stripes with your Pool Party Marker.  Attach to your card front with Dimensionals.
3.  Choose your round sentiment.  Attach a Gold Glimmer Paper Heart using Glue Dots.  Attach your sentiment to the Deco Label with Dimensionals.
4.  You are finished!  Now either file it in your Tin to use later, or give to someone right away.

Tin of Cards-Gold and Butterflies Card

This card uses supplies from the Tin of Cards Project Kit and the Tin of Cards stamp set.  Also used are Crushed Curry ink, Calypso Coral ink, and a Calypso Coral Marker.
Tin of Cards-Gold Butterfly CardINSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Choose the plain white card base, a sheet of Gold Foil, three Butterflies-the colored ones and the Very Vanilla ones, a round sentiment, and the thin gold cord.
2.  Stamp a matching sentiment on both larger butterflies.  Use Crushed Curry ink for the large one and Calypso Coral ink for the medium one.  Color the body of the small butterfly with the Calypso Coral Marker.  Remove the pieces from the butterfly wings using your Bone Folder.  Glue the colored and vanilla butterfly pieces together by putting Tombow Glue on the back of the punched butterfly body and attaching it to the vanilla butterfly.  Repeat with the Calypso Coral butterfly.  Bend up the top layer wings.
3.  Punch out the gold foil strips and save for another project.  (I used most of them.)  Angle the Gold Foil Sheet so an upper and lower corner both have equal triangles.  Put Tombow Glue on the part that you will be gluing on.  I held my fingers on the part than hung over the edge.  Attach to your card base.  Add extra glue at any edges necessary.  Trim off the parts that hang over.  Attach them to the empty corners.  Use other stripes as necessary to fill in any blank spots.
4.  Put a couple of Glue Dots on the back of your round sentiment and attach loops of Gold Cord.  Put Dimensionals over the Glue Dots.
5.  Lay out all pieces in the desired positions.  Attach sentiment first with the Dimensionals.  Attach butterflies with either Tombow Glue or Glue Dots.
6.  You now have a shiny butterfly card to give someone!

Tin of Cards-White Card Base

We had my Tin of Card Class this past Wednesday.  I previously made 1 of each card following the directions.  I worked along side the others at class finishing the rest of my cards.  I tried to make them all different.  Here are the first two using the Whisper White card base and the gold striped card layer.  The only thing used not included in the Kit is a Gold Metallic Sharpie used to color the clear Epoxy Star Stickers included in the Kit.
Tin of Cards-Gold 1I have a son going to school in Germany so I chose one of the German sayings.  If anyone out there can translate the other two German sayings, please email me.  I will appreciate you greatly!  The sayings are:  Gruss zum Geburtstag, Herzlichen Glu(umlaut)ckwunsch.  Thank you!  Sorry I don’t know how to type some of the German letters.

SUPPLIES:
Tin of Cards Project Kit #138378
Tin of Cards stamp set  Photopolymer #138946
Memento Black ink
Tombow Glue
Snail Adhesive (optional)
Glue Dots (optional)
Dimensionals
Scissors
Gold Metallic Sharpie Marker
Clear Block

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Choose the round, printed saying you want.  There are quite a few to choose from in English, German, and French.
2.  Choose your other stamp from the Stamp Set to coordinate with the saying you chose in Step 1.
3.  Remove the strips from the Gold Foil sheet.  You might need some paper snips for some of the corners.  Attach to the Whisper White card base with either Tombow Glue or Snail adhesive.
4.  Stamp your word randomly in between the Gold stripes.
5.  Cut two 10″ pieces of the Baker’s Twine from the Kit.  You can attach with either a Glue Dot or Dimensional.  I put a Glue Dot on each side of the back of the words.  Make loops with the Baker’s Twine until you are happy with it.  Repeat on the other side.  Put a Dimensional over each Glue Dot and add at least two more to the back and attach to your card front.
6.  Color the Clear Epoxy Star Stickers with the Gold Metallic Sharpie Marker.  Attach 1 large one and two small ones in the desired positions on your card.
7.  Enjoy giving them to someone special.

Build a Bouquet Flowers & Instructions

We finally had our Build a Bouquet Flower Making Class.  It was relaxing and fun.  We made one of each flower while chatting and having a girls’ afternoon out!  It took almost three hours to make one of each flower.  After you make the first one, you speed up and make them more quickly especially since some are similar to make.  So plug in some chick-flicks and make some flowers.  (I would recommend watching your favorites that you can craft to, so you will know what is happening without having to actually look at the screen as you can see the movie in your mind.)

You can also use the Bouquet Bigz L Die #137367 to make the same flowers in the colors you want to coordinate with your home decor.

* = Available at stores where tools are sold such as Walmart, craft stores, hardware stores and might be available in your DH’s tool box-just ask before borrowing 😉
** = Available at stores such as Walmart and craft stores.

Instructions in PDF format to Download.  These instructions include the words and pictures from the Instructions that come with the Kit.  The words are too small for me to easily read with my glasses SO I decided to type them out.  I also added the pictures that come with the Kit.  My notes are in italic so you can tell which is which.  There are also some photos labeling what each flower looks like and which parts to use for which flower.  I was very confused as to which leaf went with which flower and about the Fringe Flower Centers.  I hope to clarify everything for you so there is no confusion.  There are also some links to videos made by others so you can watch the flowers being made if you are a visual learner.

Note:  The Daisy (5) and the Chrysanthemum (5) are similar to make.  Same with the Poppy (5) and Wild Rose (5).  There are lots of Pansies (15) which are the quickest to make.

I was asked to join a blog hop so please visit Karen Bouchika’s blog to see two technique cards.
